With our courses, you can perfect your makeup application techniques, build a professional makeup kit, develop your portfolio and get state certification!

In Make Up First's ® courses, begin by learning makeup application using light and color theory, contouring, highlighting, and facial anatomy. Other course topics include makeup application for film and print, theatrical makeup with wigs and prosthetics, makeup for skin conditions, how to use an airbrush for makeup application, and makeup for brides and bridal parties. With training from Make Up First ®, you can do it all!



In addition to these certificate and advanced courses, Make Up First ® also offers monthly training seminars for airbrush and bridal makeup. Workshops are also offered throughout the year on topics such as special effects makeup, transgender makeup, body painting, tattoo camouflage makeup, wig making, pinup makeup and hairstyling for makeup artists. We are one of few schools that offers courses in hairstyling for makeup artists. If there's anything you want to know about makeup art, you can probably find it at Make Up First!

Course schedules
Make Up First ® understands that you have other commitments. That's why our classes are flexible and terms are short - so you can learn everything you need to know in as short a time as possible. Chris Nightengale was born and raised outside of Omaha Nebraska, in a place most famously known as Johnny Carson's hometown. At age 21 he relocated to the closest hub of activity, Chicago. A graduate of Columbia College's photography program, Chris is drawn to the subject matter that challenges him to search for the subtleties. He enjoys fashion photography and the endeavors to build working relationships with any and all local creative folk. Available for headshots, slides, or modeling test shots at a reasonable price.

I am a burlesque performer with Michelle L'amours internationally acclaimed troupe The Chicago Starlets. I'm also a member of Naked Girls Reading - the original - Chicago Chapter.
